At the time of this painting, I was incarnate, female and exceptionally beautiful. I was then a muse of both Otto van Veen and later his famous student, Sir Peter Paul Rubens.  Apparently, owing to his ‘shortcomings’, Rubens and I did not fare too well – size queen to the core as ever.
